Dear friends,

Warm greetings from Nagpur.

       It gives me immense pleasure to extend a warm invitation to all of you for PHOCON 2010 – the Annual National Conference of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Chapter of Indian Academy of Pediatrics.

       This conference will be held in Nagpur between 26^th and 28^th November 2010 with the participation of distinguished experts in their respective field from some of the best centers in the world. To have excellent academic feast, we have six reputed international speakers from USA, UK, France, Australia and West Indies, in addition to the stalwarts from our own country.

       This conference will dwell upon wide range of topics in Pediatric Hematology & Oncology with particular emphasis on our local health issues like Sickle Cell Disease. The galaxy of speakers, I am sure, will only enhance our knowledge in this subspecialty to newer heights.

       Special sessions have been arranged like Best of SIOP 2010, Visuals in Hematology & Oncology, What is new in Hematology-Oncology, in addition to symposia and guest lectures. A gala banquet is also organized for networking and relaxation.

        Nagpur, also known as Orange City and the second capital of the state of Maharashtra, is situated in the heart of the country, almost equidistant from Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai and New Delhi. At the very center of the city lies, the “Zero mile” - the center of India.

        This cosmopolitan city is well connected by air, rail and road. Nagpur has a glorious past, a challenging present and a very bright future. It is known as a clean, green and peace-loving city.
